Who funds the Pearson Peacekeeping Centre?
The Pearson Peacekeeping Centre receives core funding from the
Department of National Defense and the Department of Foreign Affairs
and International Trade of the Government of Canada.
In addition, the Canadian International Development Agency supports
the Public Security Training Programme implemented by the Pearson
Peacekeeping Centre in the Francophone countries of West Africa.
The Centre generates additional revenue by developing and delivering
specialized programmes for counterpart organizations and clients.
How do I know which course to take?
There are a range of courses available for a variety of purposes.
The list of courses provides brief overviews of the content of each
course, and each course description provides information on who
would benefit from a course. If you have read the course descriptions,
and still don’t know which course to take, please contact
our registrar for guidance.
Where can I get information about courses?
Our list of courses provides detailed descriptions about each course
that we conduct. If you do not find what you are looking for, please

Are courses only available in English?
Courses are generally available in English, although many courses
are also available in French, and some in Spanish. Please contact
the registrar for more information.

Who can attend courses at the Pearson Peacekeeping
Centre?
Courses at the Centre are designed for anyone who is planning on
participating in peace operations activities - either in a
civilian, police or military position.
How much are courses?
Costs of courses vary, but the majority of the two-week courses
cost $2300 Cdn.
How can I arrange a specialized course?
We are happy to create custom courses to help organizations effectively
