Who funds the Pearson Peacekeeping Centre?

The Pearson Peacekeeping Centre receives core funding from the Department of National Defense and the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade of the Government of Canada.

In addition, the Canadian International Development Agency supports the Public Security Training Programme implemented by the Pearson Peacekeeping Centre in the Francophone countries of West Africa. The Centre generates additional revenue by developing and delivering specialized programmes for counterpart organizations and clients.

There are a range of courses available for a variety of purposes. The list of courses provides brief overviews of the content of each course, and each course description provides information on who would benefit from a course. Who can attend courses at the Pearson Peacekeeping Centre?

Courses at the Centre are designed for anyone who is planning on participating in peace operations activities - either in a civilian, police or military position.

How much are courses?

Costs of courses vary, but the majority of the two-week courses cost $2300 Cdn.
