Course Facilities

The Pearson Peacekeeping Centre’s Cornwallis Campus provides a comfortable and relaxing environment for course participants.

Dining

The PPC has a reputation among former participants for excellent food. The Dining Room serves a wonderful variety of breakfasts, lunches and dinner, all in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Our cooks and service staff do their best to meet any special dietary needs you may have.

Delicious, home cooked meals are provided during your stay. Local delicacies, soup, salad bar and desserts make our dining facilities well-loved by our participants and staff.

Accommodations

During your visit to the Pearson Peacekeeping Centre, you will have your own comfortable room with a private or shared bathroom, telephone, alarm clock radio, desk, complete with bedding and towel service.

Each residence has laundry facilities, prayer/meditation room, vending machines, pay telephones and a lounge area with a TV/VCR, couches and chairs.

Recreation/Entertainment

There are many activities to relax and unwind after class. We have a mini-gym, with weights, basketball area, exercise bikes and treadmills. There is a soccer pitch and ample space for walking or jogging around the campus.

The Games Room, situated in the Lounge Building, offers pool, snooker, darts and shuffleboard. The TV room has a large TV and VCR.

The bar provides a comfortable place for after class discussions and to socialize with new friends.

Computer Access

The Cornwallis campus has full computer service with access to the Internet. During your time as a course participant, you are welcome to use these resources for research and to communicate with friends and family.

No Smoking Policy

To promote a healthy environment, smoking is not permitted in any PPC building with the exception of two designated rooms in the Peacekeepers’ Lounge.

Please see the section on the Montréal Campus, to learn more about its facilities.
