Course Facilities
The Pearson Peacekeeping Centre’s Cornwallis Campus provides
a comfortable and relaxing environment for course participants.
Dining
The PPC has a reputation among former participants for excellent
food. The Dining Room serves a wonderful variety of breakfasts,
lunches and dinner, all in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Our cooks and service staff do their best to meet any special dietary
needs you may have.
Delicious, home cooked meals are provided during your stay. Local
delicacies, soup, salad bar and desserts make our dining facilities
well-loved by our participants and staff.
Accommodations
During your visit to the Pearson Peacekeeping Centre, you will
have your own comfortable room with a private or shared bathroom,
telephone, alarm clock radio, desk, complete with bedding and towel
service.
Each residence has laundry facilities, prayer/meditation room,
vending machines, pay telephones and a lounge area with a TV/VCR,
couches and chairs.
Recreation/Entertainment
There are many activities to relax and unwind after class. We have
a mini-gym, with weights, basketball area, exercise bikes and treadmills.
There is a soccer pitch and ample space for walking or jogging around
the campus.
The Games Room, situated in the Lounge Building, offers pool, snooker,
darts and shuffleboard. The TV room has a large TV and VCR.
The bar provides a comfortable place for after class discussions
and to socialize with new friends.
Computer Access
The Cornwallis campus has full computer service with access to
the Internet. During your time as a course participant, you are
welcome to use these resources for research and to communicate with
friends and family.
No Smoking Policy
To promote a healthy environment, smoking is not permitted in any
PPC building with the exception of two designated rooms in the Peacekeepers’
Lounge.
