Sandra L. Dunsmore
President

Sandra Dunsmore joined the Pearson Peacekeeping Centre as
President in February 2002, with twenty years of experience
in the field of peacebuilding, international development and
humanitarian assistance.
During her career, Sandra has designed, developed and managed
peacebuilding programs in conflict and post-conflict situations,
working with leaders from all sectors of society, including
governmental, non-governmental and constituency organizations. |

Kenneth L. Ozmon, O.C., Ph.D.
Kenneth Ozmon received his undergraduate degree from St. Bernard
College, an M.A. in Psychology from the Catholic University
of America, and a Ph.D. in Psychology from the University
of Maine. He was appointed an Officer of the Order of Canada
in 1998.

Gisèle Côté-Harper,
O.C., Q.C.
Gisèle Côté-Harper graduated with a B.A.
and LL.L. from the Université Laval and an LL.M from
Harvard. She is currently a Barrister and a Professor at the
Faculty of Law at Université Laval.
In November 2002 she was elected Vice-Chair of the Board
of Directors of the Pearson Peacekeeping Centre in Clementsport,
Nova Scotia.

HAL KLEPAK, Ph.D.
Hal Klepak graduated with B.A. Honours in History and Political
Science from McGill University. He received his M.A. from
London University in Area Studies (Latin America) and his
Ph.D. from London University in Latin American History.

Louise Marchand, B.A.
Louise Marchand graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and a certificate
in Public Administration and Economics from the University
of Ottawa.
Ms. Marchand has 25 years of experience in international
development with the Canadian International Development Agency
(CIDA). Since joining the Agency in 1977, she has held many
positions at the corporate policy and program management level,
including a four-year secondment to the Australian Agency
for International Development (AusAID), 1997-2001, as Director
of the Vietnam Program.

Barbara Martin, M.A., B.ED.
Barbara Martin is currently Director of the Regional Security
and Peacekeeping Division of the Department of Foreign Affairs
and International Trade.
Ms. Martin graduated from Queen's University with an Honours
B.A. in English and Religion. She also received a B.Ed. and
a M.A. in Public Administration, both from Queen's. Her undergraduate
studies included one year at St. Andrew's University in Scotland,
where she studied theology. |

Andrew P. Rasiulis, M.A.
Andrew P. Rasiulis completed undergraduate studies in Political
Science/History at the University of Toronto in 1978 and received
a Master of Arts in Strategic Studies from the Norman Patterson
School of International Affairs, Carleton University, in 1979.
That same year, Mr. Rasiulis received a commission in the
Canadian Forces Primary Reserve (Governor General's Foot Guards).
He is currently a member of the Supplementary Ready Reserve.

She received an M.Sc. in International Relations from the

and a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Toronto.

Jennifer Allen Simons, Ph.D., Ll.D.
Jennifer Allen Simons is President of The Simons Foundation,
and Director of the Simons Centre for Peace and Disarmament
Studies at the Liu Institute for Global Issues, University
of British Columbia. Dr. Simons is also an Adjunct Professor
at the University of British Columbia and an Associate and
Adjunct Professor in the Institute for the Humanities, Simon
Fraser University. Her intellectual interest is in political
philosophy. She was part-owner and Director of Simons International
Corporation until its sale in 1999.
